- How come people dog out "the Shadow" and "Phantom" and "The Rocketeer"I loved those superhero movies
Well, I really didn't like all the storyline of Phantom, but that was the first movie after Batman and Superman to have a cool legit costume, but it was a period piece and that didn't work and the storyline could have been better. The Shadow was GREAT i remember buying that and watching it almost everyday before I went to school. I don't remember anything bad about this movie Rocketeer a GREAT movie from my childhood I always wanted that jacket and everyoen wanted the helmet and rocket pack. I loved the story and I even recently bought the Nintendo game for it. I also remember having a rocketeer toy. I don't remember this being bad in any way. So I'm thinking it was b/c these comic books were the lesser known and/or promoted books compared to DC and Marvel stuff, ya know. (Batman and Superman got tv shows and movies and cartoons throughout the decades) What are your thoughts and don't just DOG OUT THESE MOVIES without a legitimate reason why. 3+ lines = 10 pts
A I think it's because they were lesser known heroes as you said. I agree that the plot line for The Phantom could have been better, but I think Billy Zane did a great job in the lead role. As for The Shadow, that's one of my all-time favorite superhero films.(BTW, I heard Sam Raimi is interested in doing a remake of The Shadow.) The story was well-done and had very good acting. The same goes for The Rocketeer.
